What are the most common sports injuries?
Exercise is necessary to keeping good health, but sadly, accidents are relatively prevalent when individuals participate in sports or other physically demanding activities. This is unfortunate because exercise is essential to maintaining good health. A “sports injury” is defined as any injury that occurs as a direct result of taking part in any kind of sport, physical activity, or other athletic activity. There are many types of sports injuries. Some of the most common are:
- Broken bone: When a sudden force is applied to a bone, this can result in a shattered bone, also known as a bone fracture.
- Cartilage tear: Cartilage covers and protects some bone ends. Knee and shoulder cartilage can tear.
- Concussion: A bump or blow to the head might cause someone to get a brain damage known as a concussion.
- Dislocation: Dislocation happens when a bone's end slides out of a joint. A dislocated shoulder is one example.
- Tendinitis: Tendinitis causes tendons to swell and become inflamed. Repeated motions induce it. Jumper's knee (patellar tendonitis).
